Winehouse in the nick after attacking a man

By Sarah Smithon Friday, 25 Apr 2008

Amy Winehouse had an appointment with the Old Bill this afternoon, after allegedly attacking a man on a drug-fuelled evening out.

The singer, whose husband Blake is currently serving time in a London prison for perverting the course of justice, is accused of head-butting a 38-year-old Good Samaritan in Kentish Town.

A spokesman for the singer said: "Amy Winehouse will be voluntarily attending a London police station today by appointment with the police.

"We understand that she will be questioned in connection with an alleged incident in Camden in the early hours of April 23rd, 2008."

The You Know I'm No Good singer was pictured leaving her home in tears this afternoon, but had been spotted on another night out in Camden last night.

Celebrity pal Sadie Frost stopped by to pay Winehouse a late-night-visit in the early hours of this morning, reports the Sun.

Perhaps slightly worryingly, Winehouse was voted the "ultimate heroine" this week, in a poll of UK youngsters, the Press Association reports.
