By Sarah Smithon Monday, 7 Apr 2008 One lucky winner from Walsall admits she has lost sleep after winning big at the weekend – probably from thinking about how she will spend the cash.
The fluky lady, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the National Bingo: "I couldn't believe it when I won but now I'm trying to see if I can win again."
Her numbers came up at the Gala Club in Anchor Road, Aldridge where she scooped £21,000 after completing a full house in 45 calls.
The winnings were comprised of £19,482 for the National Bingo Game, plus the regional prize of £2,332 and the house prize of £75.
Around 500 clubs link-up to play the National Game daily, except on Christmas Day itself.
Furthermore, over three million people play bingo regularly in the UK and the most common reason given for taking part is because the game is fun and inexpensive.
Celebrities such as Catherine Zeta Jones, Denise Van Outen and Robbie Williams have also admitted in the past to being bingo fans.
