By Becky Turner on Wednesday, 7 Jun 2006 A great-grandmother from Portsmouth has landed a massive £101,257 bingo win after she dreamt it would happen the night before, the National Bingo Game Association reports. Persistence really paid off for the 80-year-old, who has not been named. She first joined the Crown Club in Portsmouth's Kingston Road 27 years ago when it first opened and has won £1,000 and £4,500 prizes in the past. But the stars were aligned when she landed the National Bingo Game at the end of last month. "The strange thing was, the night before the win, I dreamt it was going to happen," she explained. "And I read in my stars in the paper that morning, which I don't believe in, that I was going to have a big win in May, and I said to myself it had better hurry up as it's the last day." The woman's mum, now 103, used to play bingo with her until ten years ago. She plans to use the money to visit relations in Canada, make home improvements and upgrade her bicycle to an electric scooter.
