By Becky Turner on Thursday, 9 Nov 2006 A teaching assistant from Islington has spoken of her shock after scooping a £200,000 jackpot in bingo.
The woman, who has asked not to be identified, was playing at her local bingo hall when she completed a full house, reports the Islington Gazette.
As well as the £200,000 national bingo prize, she also won the regional prize of £1,522 and the house prize of £153.
The mother of two said: "I had no sleep at all the night I won and I am not over the shock yet.
"I haven't a clue what I'm going to do with the money yet, apart from having a new fitted kitchen and a very good Christmas."
After hearing that she had completed a full house in 34 numbers - the lowest call in 500 clubs playing nationwide - she ended up jumping and screaming excitedly, according to club manager Richard Fleming.
He added that she was now "a bit of a celebrity" in the club and that gamers were now wanting to shake her hand, presumably in the hope of her luck rubbing off on other people.
