By Becky Turner on Thursday, 14 Dec 2006 A 64-year-old woman from Dundee recently visited her friend in hospital to let her know they had both won a £96,000 bingo, jackpot.
Winning the prize at the Mecca Bingo, club in Douglasfield, Dundee, the pair agreed a long time before that they would share any prize their received and even though her friend couldn't be with her to play on the night, the jackpot is still to be split equally.
"It was a great feeling to visit her with such good news and needless to say she was delighted!" the lucky winner said after breaking the news to her friend.
The woman, who has three children and four grandchildren, is now planning to visit her son in Cyprus, as well as taking a holiday to Malta.
Dundee was named Britain's "luckiest city" in August due to the number of people who won at the bingo throughout the year, the Courier reports.
