A lucky woman from Wrexham scooped a £101,197 jackpot while playing bingo at her local club.
Claiming she was "absolutely thrilled" by her win, the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, now plans to go on a cruise holiday with her husband later in the year, the Evening Leader reports.
Paula Bryson, operations manager at the Wrexham Mecca Bingo club, said that the ticket cost 40p and the atmosphere in the club when the winner was announced was "fantastic".
"The lady who won was shaking and she was so overwhelmed," she remarked.
"I still don't think it has sunk in with her. It's a life changing sum of money."
The winner, who is a hospital volunteer, took home both the national prize and the club's zone prize of £1,197.
In related news, the National Bingo Game recently reported that a 71-year-old woman from Llanelli won £101,150 while playing at the Castle Club in Swansea.
