By Penny Walker on Monday, 11 Aug 2008 A woman from Worcester has netted a £20,000 prize while playing bingo with her sister at her local Gala Club.
Her windfall was part of the National Bingo Game which was worth more than £67,000 on that particular night
The 64-year-old and her sibling play bingo once a week at the club and will share the prize money between them.
Players in Birkenhead and London also scooped part of the grand prize, sharing it with the Worcester pair who took home nearly £17,000 from the national game as well as the regional prize of £3,264 and house jackpot of £75.
The grandmother-of-four said: "I was a bit numb when I realised how much I'd won … My sister was more excited than I was! When I told my husband he was very pleased."
In related news, there will be a £5,000 guaranteed jackpot in an online game at Foxy Bingo, which will take place at 21:00 BST on Monday August 11th.
