By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 28 Mar 2007 Young people in King's Lynn are appealing to local businesses to help provide prizes for a charity bingo event they are planning to host.
Members of the Norfolk County Council's Right Direction community scheme are calling for donations in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance, the Lynn News reports.
The group, which will be hosting the event in April, was formed to provide a way for young people to help within the community and to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
In related news, staff at the King's Lynn Gala Bingo recently took part in a 20-mile sponsored bike ride to help raise funds for Comic Relief.
Sporting their red noses, the ten workers cycled their way to raising £600 for good causes in the UK and Africa.
John Keech, general manager of the club, told the newspaper that none of the group was regular bike riders but that it was "something fun to do".
