A big bingo win has wiped out all mortgage worries for one lucky man from Upper Norwood.

The fluky fellow, who wishes to remain anonymous, scooped a whopping £410,000 after he won the Platinum Bingo jackpot.

He said: “This will really change my life and make things so much easier for me and my family

Mums is the word for the children of a woman in Wolverhampton this month.

A Cumbernauld library assistant has won £270,000 on the National Bingo Game’s Platinum Jackpot.

The 36-year-old lucky lady, who wishes to remain anonymous, was at the Gala Club in North Carbrain Road, Cumbernauld when she hit the jackpot.

She said: “I was really shaken up when they told me how much I had won and I am still in shock.

The National Bingo has begun its search for the 2008 Caller of the Year this month.

Larger-than-life bingo callers who can make two fat ladies look like they are sweet sixteen are being encouraged to enter the nationwide hunt.

Callers need no special qualifications to take part, but do need to be currently employed as a main stage caller with a National Bingo Game-registered club.

National Bingo says: “The length of time you have been a bingo caller doesn’t matter.

“It is your calling skills, your personality and the interest that you take in your work that will count.”
