We have just a few days left to bid adieu to 2008 and be prepared to welcome the New Year 2009.� The year 2008 was full of activity with Bingo games online growing from strength to strength in UK, albeit the hardships faced by the land based halls, from which they are somehow recovering.� The total number of online Bingo sites is almost nearing 300 according to rough estimates, with more and more Bingo sites emerging the scene, more notably focusing their attention towards UK.� International Bingo sites are directing their antenna to lure UK Bingo lovers with multi-currency payment options, knowing well the response will be overwhelming for new technologies and new games for ever.

That said Which Bingo�s awards come to mind first.� They have been calling it as the �Online Bingo Oscars� for the site, which wins the �Online Bingo Site of the Year� award.� For the last five years consecutively, they are giving away this Award and so it has become a matter of prestige for online Bingo sites to compete for this.� Mecca Bingo was the winner of this award in 2006, followed by Think Bingo in the year 2007.
Similarly the organizers recognize the best new online Bingo site that is launched during the year with �New UK Online Bingo Site of the Year� award.� Surely the competition during this year will be hectic as a lot of new sites have been launched at the rate of one per month and more.� Gone Bingo won this award in 2007 and it has been doing a lot of good to the site.
�The CM of the Year� Award by the same organizers went to Bingo Scotland for the year 2007.� It is not out of place to mention here that the �Bingo Caller of the Year� award for 2007 was called off at the last minute and the organizers, National Bingo Games maintained that this is not stopped and will continue in the year 2009.
Apart from the above, there are other Awards as well � Bingo Port�s Players� Choice to be announced in January 2009 and Bullet Business� Online Bingo Awards, while hosting the Annual Bingo Summit conference some time June next year.� Therefore let us see who will be bagging these prestigious Awards related to online Bingo.
