Lucky bingo player’s run goes on

A bingo enthusiast from West Yorkshire has won at the game for the 100th time this year to continue his run as the so-called most successful player in Britain.

Having won 37 numbers game sessions in 2006 and five more than that last year, Brian Parker has accrued more than £10,000 at the Mecca Bingo club in Huddersfield.

The Huddersfield Daily Examiner reports that no-one else has ever reached a century of bingo wins in the same year.

Explaining why he keeps playing despite having so much success, Mr Parker told the newspaper: “It’s something I really enjoy and it’s always better to go home with some brass.”

He added that other gamers fear the worst when they see him lining up to buy his bingo card.
