A New Year's Eve number game event in Las Vegas, Nevada has been described as "big draw".
The Suncoast Casino New Year's Eve Bingo Night in the Summerlin area of the city ran successfully on the last night of 2008, according to coordinator Lyn Brown.
She told the Las Vegas Sun that most of the people attending the occasion were local residents.
Summerlin couple Doug and Judy Hansen donned some special attire - feathered hats and bright gold chains - for what was the ninth time the casino has held the special event.
They revealed to the newspaper that they enjoyed the night as it is something different to do on what is a popular party evening around the world.
Some 600 guests visited the venue to celebrate the end of 2008 by getting their eyes down for some bingo.
Bingo was played at various Christmas parties across the UK, according to local media reports.
