Shocking! It was confirmed at the weekend that my favourite X Factor judge EVER will not be a judge and mentor for this years X Factor :(
Lovely Dannii Minogue confirmed by tweeting on Saturday and then released the following statement: �"During discussions for me to return [to The X Factor] it became clear that unfortunately, this year, the X Factor audition dates in the UK clash with the live shows of Australia's Got Talent during June and July. For this reason I am unable to return. I want to wish the new judges every success for this year's show, and can't wait to see who the British public choose as their next big star. Thanks to everyone who has shown me so much love and support, and brought me so much joy during my four incredible years working on the show."
From what I've read already, X Factor viewers and fans are disappointed to say the least. Especially with the news that Dannii's replacement is rumoured to be Tulisa from N-Dubz. Nothing against Tulisa - in fact she seems down to earth, she's talented and N-Dubz have worked so hard for their deserved success. But does she have the experience in mentoring that Dannii does??
Dannii has mentored 2 X Factor winners, including Matt Cardle last year and now the rumour mill is in overdrive; it's surprising to hear that Dannii in fact would have loved to do the show - but (because of her Australias Got Talent�commitments) "she was put in a terrible position of being told she would have do that dreadful 25-hour flight countless times over the next few months if she wanted to do the show". Sources also said that "No attempt was made to move dates for her or to help her out".
An on the�other hand, the Daily Mail reported that the X Factor bosses moved �heaven and earth� to let Simon Cowells replacement judge, Take That's Gary Barlow to film the auditions whilst appearing on his group�s upcoming tour...
Danni responded saying "I�m a mum, how can I keep flying back and forth? I have a baby to care for".
Louis has said he's "sad" for Dannii that it didn't work out. Well - I am too. I thought Dannii Minogue was a wonderful X Factor mentor. How is your ideal judging line-up? Who'd make the best mentor? Post your comments below!
