SHOCK NEWS! I couldn't believe it when I woke up to the news that Cheryl Cole is said to have been sensationally sacked from the US X Factor - after judging in just 3 auditions!
It's only a matter of weeks since Simon Cowell confirmed that Cheryl had been given the job as Judge and Mentor on the US X Factor. That announcement came after months of speculation about whether the American audience would understand Cheryl's Geordie accent. But Simon seemed to win the X Factor producers and the TV network over. In fact Mr Cowell seemed determined to make Cheryl a star in the USA.
However, this mornings news suggests that those initial doubters have been proved right - rumours of personality clashes behind the scenes with her fellow US X Factor judges (namely Paula Abdul!) as well as a less than lukewarm reception from the X Factor audience, headlines for all the wrong reasons about Cheryl�s choice of outfit and hairstyle for her first appearance; all may have led to the decision to sack her.
Simon Cowell is reportedly hoping to replace Cheryl's spot on the panel with the shows co-host Nicole Scherzinger, who is well know and liked in the USA. That would leave our other Brit star - TV presenter Steve Jones hosting the US X Factor solo!
I can't wait to find out what this means...there are still two judging places left in our UK X Factor: so is Cheryl Cole set to return to Britain and sit on the panel with Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland??
I can't help but feel sorry for her. It can't be easy to go through all that - especially without all your friends and family around you. �Whatever happens next, we wish you lots of luck Cheryl!
